As a licensed psychologist I help clients work on issues in their lives that keep them from living their lives to the fullest. I have worked for many years in a college counseling centers and in a mental health clinic. I also have expertise in adoption and have worked with both adoptive parents and adoptees.
I work with people who are at times of growth or transition in their lives, and with people who are feeling depressed, anxious or stressed, and maybe worried about their own health issues. I assist people who are dealing with issues of grief and loss, and with the “sandwich generation” (people, 60 and older) who are dealing with their own aging, taking care of their parents, and making decisions about their retirement and next stage of their lives, as well as being concerned about their grown children and grandchildren.
There are joys and sorrows at many times in our lives, and we grow by learning to manage and deal with changes and challenges in our lives. I find it is a privilege to be with someone as they learn, and grow, and understand themselves better.
