“Every breath and every step can be nourishing and healing.” Oftentimes we get stuck in the past, worry about the future or feel like we are unable to enjoy the present moment. Change is difficult and learning how to cope with stress can be challenging. Sometimes we need a little support to help improve our overall wellness and to find healthy and effective solutions to our problems.
I earned a bachelor’s in Psychology from Providence College and a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William James College. I am currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts. Throughout my time in the field, I have worked with children, teens, adults, and elders in a multitude of environments who have experienced a variety of clinical issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, PTSD, OCD, ADHD and anger management. My desire to work in the field stems from my passion for connecting with others as well as seeing people walk away excited to live their own personal journey after healing and feeling more alleviated from emotional and psychological pain. I am here to listen and support, as well as provide you the opportunity to express yourself openly in a safe environment free of judgment.
In therapy, we will dive deep to understand your thinking process, motivations and behaviors. During our sessions, you can expect me to utilize cognitive behavioral and art therapy techniques, motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, and mindfulness exercises. My therapeutic approach is very compassionate, positive, and empowering and will help guide you to a healthier mindset both inside and out. People need a safe space to talk about things that dwell in their hearts and minds. Sometimes we need help navigating out emotions, building better behaviors and expressing our thoughts in healthier ways. I am ready to help you gain peace, personal insight and the coping skills to move through life’s current and future obstacles. I look forward to being a part of your journey.
